 H. L. Lawson & Son, Inc. is celebrating our 70th year of rewarding business activity in the Roanoke Valley. Throughout our history we have been consumer driven, leading to the competencies we employ today in the logistics industry. Harry Leland Lawson started the company at the urging of Roanoke city officials in 1937. Always the entrepreneur, he worked closely with the city of Roanoke
to satisfy the needs of the time. One of our earliest warehouse customers was Ford Motors, we stored the Model "T" line. Through the years, and 4 generations of Lawson's, we have handled, stored, and distributed it all. This experience has evolved H. L. Lawson & Son, Inc. into a modern, progressive, experienced and productive player in the distribution logistics industry. We do not just know the meaning of productive logistics, we learned why it is so important. Because of our history, we pride ourselves on "doing it his way" and keeping the human feel to the system driven, accounting based, metric judged performance standards we are graded on every day. Mr. Lawson enjoyed making it happen where the need was there, we are right behind him.
